There are several world class shopping centers in the capital city Dhaka. But if you want shop while being budget conscious, you can go the following three markets. These markets cater to the needs of all types of people. You will get almost everything you want to buy at a reasonable price in these markets.


Baitul Mukarram Market


Situated around Baitul Mukarram Mosque It is a very busy modern shopping Centre Jewelleries, clocks, watches, optical goods, cassettes and tailoring on tm first floor. On the ground floor there are clothes and garments, confectioneries, crockeries , stationeries, jewelleries, gunshop, leather goods name plaing, fruits, cheese, fountain pens, newspaper etc. are on the open footpath. The central stores sell cosmetics, imitation ornaments; watches, corckerics, carpets, shoes, clothes and gift items. In the eastern part latest Japanese electronic goods dominate.


STADIUM MARKET


Modern sophisticated market built around Dhaka Stadium, south-east of Baitul Makarram e east of General Post Office (GPO) a very big market dominated by most modern electric and goods. Established in 1952, it is one of the major shopping centers of Dhaka city situated-north of Azimpur colony and south of Dhaka college it is a Qlean busy market All shopsare inside of the boundary. To the north are Jewelleries ----es alasswares, shoes and leather goods, to the weat are books and stationeries, to the south are confectionaries, general stores, cosmetics, banagles, toys and medicine stores, to the east are garments, clothes and variety stores. In the inner circleare are restaurants, photographic stores and provision stores. Fish vegetable, granis, spices and fruits are further north.
